When she does this kind of a song, all I can think is that she was supposed to have been born in an earlier era. But thank God she wasn’t and we get to experience her wonderful talent. Suzy Bogguss has a lovely voice, smooth and clear, but I have to say I prefer this version. Suzy’s treatment of the song is just a little too conventional for my taste. Fiona’s version just has more passion to it. It’s rougher than Suzy’s, but it’s real.
