I have a iPhone 4 locked to SoftBank but I live in Ireland and would like to use it on 3 but I don’t have a SoftBank sim. Will it still work?

Hi, I have an iphone 4 GSM baseband04.12.01 jailbreak iOS5.1.1 and I have no original sim card.
I downloaded SAM 0.1.16-1 and on ActivationState says FactoryActivated.
I try to Revert Lockdown to Stock but a message pops up Stockification Failure.
I tried De-Acttivate iPhone but on ActivationState always says FactiryActivated.
Is there any possibility SAM to be updated and unlock JB iOS 5.1.1 BB 04.12.01 with no original sim?Can you make a guess about how long will it take to be updated?

First, does this still work on 5.0.1. Second, do you HAVE to have an active AT&T sim card for this to work?

No it does not work anymore. Apple blocked the server. For this to work, you needed to do this unlocking method before Apple blocked SAM.

Try ringing AT&T directly and asking if they could unlock your 3GS. If they say yes then it will be factory unlocked which means you don’t need it to be jailbroken and works with any SIM card worldwide. If you would like more info reply to this message
