Published: 10:20 AM ESTA new rumor suggests that Apple’s iLife ’11 suite will launch in August for $79, with all included applications being 64-bit, including a new “mystery” addition.
French Apple website Mac4Ever (via Google Translate) reported last week that iLife ’11 will launch soon, on Saturday, August 7. The updated application suite is said to include improvements in the Faces and Places features in iPhoto, and will reportedly add greater integration with social networking sites.

In mid-May, Apple launched a beta version of a revised MobileMe Mail web application. The updated version went live along with an update application switcher in mid-June.
Mail is not the only MobileMe web application getting an overhaul, however, as Apple has announced a similar beta program for a revamped Calendar web application. As with the Mail beta, testing of the new Calendar application requires that users request an invitation through the MobileMe site, and Apple will be rolling out invites over the next several weeks.

Apple has noted on its MobileMe support page and the me.com login page that access to MobileMe Web applications will be down from 10:00 PM to midnight Pacific Time this evening for “scheduled maintenance”, with normal service expected to return once the site comes back up at the end of this window.

Apple on Tuesday released a new retail store application for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, allowing customers to find local stores, purchase products, read customer reviews and more.
The free application (iTunes link) also allows customers to stay up to date with in-store events, and make appointments for Personal Shopping, Genius Bar or One to One.
