Speaking to Wall Street analysts, Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer noted that tablets are a big issue for the company and expressed concern about Apple’s success with iPad.

Apple’s CEO isn’t the only one writing open letters these days – a US Senator has taken notice of that Consumer Reports post advising against buying an iPhone 4 until Apple fixes its flawed antenna. Riding on that advisory, New York Senator Charles Schumer of the Democratic party sent out an open letter to Apple’s head honcho Steve Jobs.

Apple’s iPhone 4 antenna issue drama must be a nightmare for Steve Jobs and his executive team after a history of home runs around previous iPhone models and the iPad. Larry Page, one of the founders of Google, said this week that Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs has been “rewriting history” in making claims that the search giant was responsible for the tension between the two companies.
