Apple’s new Magic Trackpad lets you perform Multi-Touch gestures on desktop Macs. Like the Magic Mouse (), the Magic Trackpad’s system preference pane includes video demonstrations of how to perform each gesture. The video below goes though each of the gesture tutorials. How can you tell that a company’s PR department is getting desperate? They start posting videos focused completely on competitor’s products.
That’s exactly what Apple has done in an attempt to down play the death grip antenna issue on iPhone 4. Rather than trying to generate good press around the iPhone 4, or even coming up with a solution to the antenna issue, they’ve decided to play the dangerous game of “look how bad other phones are.”

Apple’s revised 27″ iMac introduced this spring debuted a new feature: a Mini DisplayPort video port that worked in both directions, enabling external video sources to output video to the screen. That feature is largely limited to 720p in HDTV applications however.

Apple has added another smartphone to its list of devices that experience reception issues when held improperly, this time showing a Nokia N97 mini losing signal. Nokia, meanwhile, is looking to replace its current CEO as it has fallen behind in the smartphone market.
At its antenna performance page, apple.com/antenna, Apple added the Nokia N97 mini, with photos and videos showing the effects of attenuation on the handset. Holding the device tightly caused the handset to drop from 7 full bars of service, down to just two bars.

Responding publicly to Apple’s claim that nearly any smartphone can lose signal strength if held in a certain way, watchers opined that Nokia’s statement was the most respectful of Apple’s rivals. Maybe that encouraged Apple to post a new death grip video on the antenna section of its site, describing attenuation and signal loss on the Nokia N97 mini.
